Built for dancefloor chaos, “Lose My Mind” opens with sweeping orchestral flourishes and a soaring vocal hook before flipping into a full-blown percussive assault. The track thrives on contrast—from its cinematic intro to its mechanical breakbeats and warping low-end frequencies. Laser-sharp stabs, glitched fills, and dreamlike synth fragments form a tightly wound structure that pulls from both classic rave DNA and modern bass design. It’s streamlined but volatile, hitting hard without overcomplicating the formula.
The release marks another forward step for Naarm-based producer Darby, whose eclectic approach to club music spans bassline, breaks, and beyond. Following his 2023 ‘PARTY’ EP on NIGHTMODE and recent single “NONSTOP,” his evolving sound continues to attract attention from outlets like UKF, Iggy Magazine, and Find Your Sounds.
Strobez, based in San Francisco, adds his distinct blend of trap, dubstep, and breaks to the mix. Building his catalog through collaborations with Viperactive and TWONSKi, along with co-signs from RL Grime, Alison Wonderland, and NGHTMRE, his footprint in the bass space is growing with each release.
“Lose My Mind” channels the raw, kinetic energy both artists are known for—a high-impact entry that pushes the breaks resurgence deeper into the modern club lexicon.
“‘Lose My Mind’ feels like spiraling out, in a good way. It’s manic, loud, and kinda like what happens when you let the pace of everything take over. I didn’t fight it, I just let it explode. I also loved the challenge of working with something as aggressive as Strobez’s style—it pushed me to lean into the chaos even more and find that sweet spot between melodic and agression.”—Darby
“I’ve been a big Darby fan for the longest time, so it was only right that we finally made something together. The end result is just pure fun; we wanted to make a record out of the best ‘90s breaks tropes and we couldn’t be more stoked to release it with NIGHTMODE! So many artists I look up to have released with them, so it’s really a huge honor.”—Strobez
Darby and Strobez’s new single “NONSTOP” is available on all platforms via NIGHTMODE.

Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, this 20-year-old bass music producer, artist, and DJ began his journey in music production at only 12 years old and has quickly established himself as a rising force, combining the familiar sounds of 90s breakbeat, heavy hitting trap drums, emotion-soaked melodics and modern bass music into an unmistakable sound that denies genre boundaries. His music has garnered him support from industry heavyweights such as RL Grime, NGHTMRE, Alison Wonderland, Wavedash & more, as well as leading him to be handpicked by iconic promoters such as Brownies & Lemonade.
