DJ and producer Rivo and electronic music artist Doriann have joined forces for their debut collaboration, “Taka Taka”: A high-energy club and festival weapon that blends dark, driving techno energy with an infectious Latin vocal hook. The track is the result of a natural creative connection between two artists who have each been on a remarkable upward trajectory over the past two years.
Rivo, the 26-year-old self-taught DJ and producer from Brive-la-Gaillarde, first broke through internationally in 2024 with his official remix of Disclosure’s “You & Me,” which propelled his name onto the global stage. Since then, his rework of Armin Van Buuren’s “In & Out of Love” and his debut original “Last Night” have each surpassed 50 million streams, cementing his status as one of the most exciting talents in contemporary dance music. With a sound that weaves together melodic techno and afro drums and over 200 shows across the globe since 2024, including a residency at UNVRS Ibiza alongside Eric Prydz and performances at Tomorrowland, Drumsheds London and Club Space Miami, Rivo has proven himself one of the most sought-after bookings on the international circuit.
Doriann, meanwhile, has steadily established himself as one of the leading rising names in the new generation of electronic music, known for his melancholic-melodic sound, wide versatility, and the driving groove that defines his productions. His breakthrough single “Mention,” released on Solomun’s Diynamic imprint, earned him global exposure and airplay on BBC Radio 1, and his catalogue has grown to include notable releases on John Summit’s Experts Only label, Ultra Records, Simulate and Drumcode. It was Doriann’s dark and energetic release “Nocturnal” on Experts Only, co-produced with Adam Sellouk, that caught Rivo’s attention and sparked the idea for a collaboration.
