David Guetta and Afrojack have produced numerous hit tracks in the past, and the duo continues to excel and uplift the music industry. Their most recent track, “Hero,” is nominated for a GRAMMY award under Best Dance/Electronic Recording. This time, with the collision of powerful rap and rhythmic beats, “Trampoline” will no doubt be another success.
“Trampoline” is a fresh and powerful track that is full of swag. With the legendary collaboration of three powerful Hip Hop artists across generations, Missy Elliott, BIA, and Doechii build upon each other’s voice perfectly and showcase each of their unique presences. The catchy, dynamic, and pumped up chorus is a declaration that the iconic pair David Guetta and Afrojack is back stronger than ever, and is ready to leave a lasting impression. Accompanied by the syncopated beats that adds variation and characters to the music, the track is purposefully bouncy and uplifting, with its catchy chorus, dynamic component, and rhythmic beats.
“I started working on this record years ago with Missy Elliott and Afrojack, then Mike Caren from APG came along with a great new idea and wanted to revisit it,” David Guetta stated about the new single. “We gave it to BIA & Doechii and got this great finished result. I love it, it’s a mix of hip hop and electronic music, which is rare for me. I’ve worked on a similar track before, ‘Hey Mama’ with Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha, and that was huge. I don’t go to this territory often, but when I do, I go hard!”
“David’s my brother as you know; we’ve had many songs together and we just got nominated for a GRAMMY for “Hero” so we’ll be there to celebrate,” Afrojack said about the collaboration. “Also very excited, of course, to work together with BIA, Doechii and Missy Elliott. I’ve been a Missy Elliott fan for a very long time because she’s very cool, makes amazing beats, and awesome music that I’ve listened to since I was a kid.”
In the male-centric world of rap music, the legendary rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Missy Elliott redefined the boundaries of Hip Hop and left her mark in the music industry. Missy’s constant debut album Supa Dupa Fly went platinum, and from there, her popularity skyrocketed, making her one of the most influential Black female Hip Hop artists in history. Elliott is a multi-GRAMMY winner, has collected two American Music Awards, and countless top hits like ‘Get Ur Freak On,’ ‘Work It,’ and ‘Gossip Folks’. She is the first female Hip Hop artist to have six certified platinum albums. BIA made her now staple-name with her collaboration on ‘Safari’ with J Balvin in 2016 and ‘Best On Earth’ with Russ in 2019. BIA’s 2020 viral hit song ‘Whole Lotta Money’ gained attention from distinguished artists like Lizzo, as well as co-collaborator Nicki Minaj, who hopped on the remix for the track after it racked up millions of streams on all music platforms. 22 year old Tampa-born singer Doechii’s career took off with the release of the seven-track EP in 2020 Oh The Places You’ll Go, an ode to the childhood book written by Dr. Seuss. She became an overnight global sensation on TikTok with the track, “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake,” generating millions of views and close to a million videos. Her much-anticipated first full length release is expected sometime this year.
