David Guetta and Marten Hørger’s first EP under their new alias arrives on May 15, but if Coachella was any indication, it’s already running like a well-oiled Men Machine.

The eponymous five-track release follows the duo’s debut appearance as Men Machine at the Quasar Stage on April 11, where Hørger joined Guetta to play out a selection of the EP’s songs together for the very first time, drawing a resounding crowd response that further confirmed its potential for success far beyond Indio. Yet while Coachella marked a pivotal step forward for a creative partnership that’s grown and evolved organically over the years, dating back to their first collaboration, “The Freaks” (2023), that’s not where the story of Men Machine began.
“We’ve spent the last year perfecting this sound, testing these tracks from our Ibiza residency to the first time we played them together at Coachella,” Guetta explained on Instagram. “The Men Machine EP represents a massive chapter of our journey. We’ve watched these five tracks come to life on dance floors across the globe, and the energy you’ve given back to us has been nothing short of legendary.”
Sonically, Men Machine’s sound skews darker, weightier, and more industrial than Guetta’s custom, though its underground-meets-mainstage ethos isn’t foreign to the Parisian dynamo, who’s long blurred the lines between sounds and spaces in the past through projects like Future Rave with MORTEN and his solo alias Jack Back. Still, in its embrace of ‘70s and ’80s synth-pop and Kraftwerk’s hugely influential analog texture, Men Machine presents a new side of both Guetta’s chameleonic artistry and Hørger’s buoyant club sensibilities, bringing their project full circle – and to the center of the dance floor.
Men Machine is exclusively available for pre-order on Beatport ahead of its release via Spinnin’ Records next Friday.
