Dead Rose sets the stage for the sonic journey, saying, “This EP is the most personal body of work I’ve ever released. What started two years ago with a love of sci-fi and space films has evolved in ways I never expected. I wanted to bring a sense of that same wonder and ethereal emotion from those films to my music, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the help of some incredible vocalists: RUNN, Casey Cook, KnownAsNat, Stella Smyth, and Helene all really brought the emotion and storytelling I was looking for to bring my vision to life. I’m incredibly proud to be releasing this through Lost In Dreams, and I can’t wait for people to finally hear the full vision.”

“Atmosphere” acts as the perfect opener, welcoming listeners into the thematic expedition ahead. Breathy vocal bends and heartfelt chords pack an emotional weight that flutters between otherworldly and beautiful. RUNN’s vocals are sultry yet breezy, creating an inviting and effortless allure. Rich low-end and frenetic drum & bass-inspired percussion power the electric drops, which simulate floating above the clouds. The smooth lyrics are repeated throughout, creating a hypnotic hook as Dead Rose masterfully adds and subtracts layers to give the track an ever-evolving feeling.

Continuing the ascent comes “Satellite,” another collaboration alongside lauded Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter RUNN. The sci-fi-inspired intro takes listeners into the vast array of space with transmitting radio frequencies and otherworldly harmonies laying the foundation among suspenseful piano chords. RUNN’s pitched-up vocal loops and satiny falsetto verses instill a sense of grandiosity. Fuzzy sub-bass sequences, epic horn embellishments, and twinkling tones swirl together to round out the cosmic creation. “Satellite” is an out-of-this-world future bass ballad that captures the warm waves of developing love.

Breaking down the inspiration behind the focus track, Dead Rose says, “‘Satellite’ was the track that fueled the vision behind the ‘Symphony of Life EP’ for me. It was one of the first songs I made with the goal of capturing the feeling of space both physically and emotionally. It represents that moment of vulnerability when you finally break through with someone and start forming a real connection with them. RUNN really captured the depth and emotion I was going for through her vocals. It’s exactly what I imagined when I first started this project. I’m proud of what this song stands for and to be releasing it with the very fitting emotional dance label Lost in Dreams who has pushed me to bring my vision to life every step of the way.”

Sharing her excitement surrounding the collab, RUNN chimes in with her statement: “I was honored to be asked to be a part of this song with Dead Rose; it’s a beautiful piece of a beautiful project.”

“Losing Oxygen” is an atmospheric single that sees Dead Rose drawing on the vocal talents of Stella Smyth. The gripping vocal gives the track an intimate inkling while the epic cinematic backing offers a sense of expansiveness. Smyth’s ethereal falsetto and wistful lyrics create a somber sense that is counterbalanced against the exhilarating drops. Weaving the beautiful orchestral elements with the intensity of bass-driven synths, the track creates a feeling of floating in zero gravity.

Speaking on how the track came to be, Dead Rose shares: “This track started two years ago as an experimental orchestral piece. I never thought it would lead to working with a real orchestra for my first time and working with a vocalist as talented as Stella. Insanely grateful for everyone who helped this song get to where it is.”

“Take Me Away” is a melodic drum & bass collaboration that scores the transcendental thrill of a magical night on the dancefloor. Casey Cook’s captivating vocals offer an inviting allure, as the lyrics embrace a sense of euphoric escapism. The cinematic undertones set the stage while the vocals float and flutter into the ethereal liquid-infused drops. The chopped and stuttered vocals vibrate with a weightless sense of elation, one that is elevated by its epic instrumentation. Frenetic drum breaks saunter over soaring synths, thumping kicks, and vibe-laden soundscapes. Rising and falling with laser-focused precision, “Take Me Away” is an ode to getting lost in the music, emulating the feeling of being swept away in the heat of the moment.

Dead Rose shares deeper insight into the collaboration, saying, “‘Take Me Away’ is a genre-defying fusion of melodic emotion with high-energy drum & bass. I wanted to create something that felt like an out-of-body experience for listeners—something that felt transportive. Casey’s vocals really brought that otherworldly energy to life and helped turn the production into something truly special.”

“All I See” reflects themes of longing and connection, as shimmering synths, soft vocal loops, and choppy drums intertwine to create a dynamic, emotional soundscape. Dead Rose’s intricate layering finds a balance between melancholy and euphoria, while KnownAsNat’s evocative hook adds depth to the radiant textures, making for an unforgettable listening experience. It’s a dance-floor-ready escapade capturing the love found under red lights and strobes. The steady groove and catchy lyrics make an irresistible romp that will listeners coming back for more.

The title track serves as the finale, offering an emotive, honest, and heartfelt conclusion. The soft vocals saunter over pensive keys and moving pads. The progressive ballad sees orchestral elements steadily added, matching the emotional intensity as it increases throughout. “Symphony Of Life” is an epic climax that pairs passion and pain, simplicity and complexity, hope and despair for an unforgettable end.
