“Can You Hear Me Now” is a cross-continental uptempo cut bridging their respective styles seamlessly. The collab eases into the equation with a saccharine, euphoric melodic hook and dainty, pitched-up vocal before fully flying off the rails. Melody quickly implodes as hollow-kick sequences, piercing rawstyle call-and-response, mind-warping distorted sub-bass, and an endless supply of bombast come together to create the kind of beautiful noise that can be heard halfway across the world.

Succinctly summing up the vibe of his new release, Dead X shares, “Listening to ‘Can You Hear Me Now’ is the best two minutes you will have all summer.”

Cheekily reflecting on their collaboration, R3TRIX adds, “Can you hear us now?”

Based in Los Angeles and often dubbed ‘The All-American Boy,’ Dead X has been carving out his own niche in the US hard dance circuit. He’s notorious for blending the rawness of punk rock with the hard-hitting euphoria of hardstyle. His previous Basscon Records releases, “Player H8rs” and “Voyage,” have earned support from outlets including Canadian Ravers, Prelude Press, EDM Reviewer, Whats Music, and Beat For Beat. Aside from the studio, he has also lit up stages at notable festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Wasteland, and Soundcheck, and has previously ripped up the road while on a U.S. tour with Lil Texas.

Joining forces from the opposite end of the Atlantic, R3TRIX has been gaining notable traction in France’s rawstyle scene. Since launching the project in 2023, R3TRIX has released music with Maissouille, El Desperado, N-XD, and Brutal Theory, and has taken the stage at major events, including Electrobeach Music Festival and Eskape Festival.

With “Can You Hear Me Now,” Dead X and R3TRIX stake their claim in the global hard dance movement, delivering a high-impact anthem that dares to be felt as much as it’s heard.
