World renowned electronic artist deadmau5 and Canadian alternative singer/songwriter Lights have reunited for the release of “When The Summer Dies,” their new single out today (July 16) on mau5trap.  Look for an alternative mix of the song to follow next Friday, July 23.“

When The Summer Dies” highlights Lights pop sensibility set against a fun and playful production from deadmau5. Look for its music video to arrive soon, marking a special milestone in deadmau5’ digital roadmap, as it will be created in Manticore; a virtual gaming experience by his and Richie Hawtin’s new company PIXELYNX.

deadmau5 and Lights first collaboration late 2018’s “Drama Free” appeared on the soundtrack for the Netflix feature film Polar which deadmau5 also did the score for.  The track went on to become a highlight in his 2019/20 North American cubev3 tour show where he was joined by Lights at each date to perform it.

Meanwhile, fans can find deadmau5 on tour in support of “When The Summer Dies” and other current singles such as “Hypnocurrency” with REZZ, “Channel 43” with Wolfgang Gartner, “Bridged By A Lightwave” with Kiesza and “Pomegranate” with The Neptunes, as well as material from his extensive catalogue.
