DEADMAU5 TEASES ‘HARDWARE’ VERSION OF POPULAR SOFT SYNTH SERUM

Deadmau5 has tweeted what looks like a hardware version of the popular soft synth Serum. Created by his friend Steve Duda Xfer Records, Serum has received glowing reviews across the board and is used by hundreds of thousands of producers around the world. Deadmau5’s tweet shows a ‘hardware’ version of Serum in his Canadian studio, though it looks very much like a 3D render.

Still, it got people talking and speculating, with many big artists and Steve Dua himself jumping into the thread. Real or not, the popularity of the image may give Steve Duda and Xfer Records a lot to think about. After all, affordable hardware is undoubtedly back in vogue, but does Deadmau5 really need more synths?
