New York’s Deepak Sharma marks the return of his long-running Deepak Sharma Collection on Hidden Recordings in 2025, following a year-long hiatus. The first wave of releases—DSC025, DSC026, and DSC027—drops this January, delivering a trio of powerful techno tracks.
Kicking things off, DSC025 explores dark, rhythmic grooves with thunderous kicks and sleek synth details unravelling from its rumbling low end. DSC026 follows with a stripped-back, muscular sound driven by pounding kick drums, glitchy hi-hats, and the eerie hum of distant solar winds. Closing out the release, DSC027 pairs hypnotic, trippy synths with firmly grounded drums, creating a mesmerising blend that rounds out this standout selection.
A fixture in the techno scene for over two decades, Deepak Sharma has led Hidden Recordings since 2006, curating releases featuring acclaimed artists such as JC Laurent, Truncate, DJ QU, and Mark Broom.
The Deepak Sharma Collection, launched in 2021 as a dedicated platform for Sharma’s productions, resumes this year with an exciting slate of singles planned for 2025. While DSC is a digital project, Deepak’s ethos is rooted in versatility and a deep appreciation for vinyl. His dedication to the craft has seen him make his Berghain debut last summer and perform multiple times at Tresor, including a memorable closing set played entirely on vinyl. In New York, he’s brought his unique sound to Basement, reflecting the underground community he proudly represents.
