Defected bring a fan favourite house track back to streaming services with Route 94’s ‘4Get The Girl’. Since UK No.1 and international hit ‘My Love’ with Jess Glynn in 2014, Route 94 would go on to cement his status as one of the UK’s most recognisable house artists, playing on the world’s biggest stages for electronic music and remixing the best house tracks of the decade including Ben Westbeech’s ‘Jack’ (as Breach) and ‘Look Right Through’ by Storm Queen. Formerly named ‘Forget The Girl’, this elusive release began circulating in the 2010s, with the original project locked away on a laptop Route 94 could not get to for years.
The track would go on to earn 35 million streams via independent service Distrokid, but there has been much demand from house heads in the know give the seminal record an official label release. With the project files now found, Defected and Route 94 are proud to continue the story of ‘4Get The Girl’ in 2026.
