Demuir debuts on Priroslin Recordings with a superb double A-side, ‘Mind Speaks’, landing on March 20. The title cut sets the tone with a nine-minute percussive odyssey: lively keys and underlapping kicks lay down a humid groove, while vocal fragments and gospel-style backing tones inject a rare musicality and sense of freedom that will bring any dancefloor to life.
On the flip, ‘The Grace and Wonder’ delivers a smouldering house cut where soulful piano licks flourish amid steamy vocals. The drums are chunky and deep, the melodies immaculate, and the groove is one you never want to end.
Toronto-via-Chicago DJ and producer Demuir is a relentless force in underground house music. Active for nearly two decades, the Purveyor Underground label boss has released on the likes of Classic Music Company, Kaoz Theory and Heist Recordings, channeling an eclectic blend of deep house, jackin’, soul and more into timeless, party-starting jams.
Founded in 2017 by Prince.L, Priroslin Recordings was built as a counterforce to the predictable.
