Denis Sulta will release a new single, ‘If Only I Knew’, later this week via Cercle Records.
Since returning from a three-year hiatus in November last year, the Glaswegian DJ and producer has been brimming with confidence, unleashing a stream of groove-laden singles on his Sulta Selects imprint. Now, with summer in full swing, the label boss delivers his latest peak-time concoction for Cercle Records, a punchy trance tool with a melodic heart. ‘If Only I Knew’ marks the fourth single from the upcoming Cercle Vinyl compilation, following cuts from Indira Paganotto, Bantwanas and Romain Garcia.
Speaking about the making of the single, Sulta shared: “‘If Only I Knew’ was great fun to create. A lot of the time I would end up going into the studio all day and coming home with not much music created, maybe the pressure can limit my creativity. I’ll get back to my flat in the evening and sit down at the piano and just let my fingers find their way on the keys. This is exactly how ‘If Only I Knew’ came to be, in the relaxed and safe environment of my living room, not focused on any specific outcome other than something that felt honest and fun.”
The single is the latest summer offering from Paris-based Cercle Records, following Maz and Antdot’s new collaborative single ‘Run’ and HoneyLuv’s remix of Jamie Jones and AMÉMÉ’s ‘Pliva’.
“It’s such a pleasure to release on Cercle Records,” Sulta told DJ Mag, describing the single as “some reflective dance floor type stuff for your ear holes in the hope that one day we might find acceptance and feel gratitude for the moment.”
‘If Only I Knew’ is out 27th June via Cercle Records, ahead of the full vinyl compilation on 9th September.
