Critically acclaimed multi-platinum selling producer and artist,Deorro, is once again breaking past creative barriers by joining forces with Latin star and former member of Fifth Harmony, Ally Brooke, for the release of “La Cita”. This new single will form part of his upcoming sophomore album titled “ORRO” which is slated for release on July 1st. “La Cita” is available to stream on all digital platforms today.
Categorizing as one of his more smooth and dreamlike songs, “La Cita” sees Deorro dive into a
retrowave flavored track laced with nostalgic synthesizers. Making a distinct and meticulous
decision, he calls upon Ally Brooke and Swedish pop group, Neiked, to help breathe life into
his vision for the song – taking it into another world of possibilities. Sampling Neiked’s original
song “Old School Love”, Deorro fuses together the counterpart from a female’s perspective to
create the perfect love story. As the chorus chants, “I’ll pick you at eight, no need to complicate,
it’s that old school love, old school love,” Ally’s dynamic and dreamy vocals respond,
“Prométemelo a mi, que si se va sentir, como old school love, old school love (Promise me that
it will feel like old school love, old school love). The eclectic crossover track meshes together elements of Dance, Pop, and Latin influences as he creates another incredibly captivating song
that puts his inventive creativity and versatility in the forefront.
“La Cita was such a fun song to record and work on with Deorro. He is an amazing human and
producer! The song itself is full of fun and takes you to a whole new place, which is why I am in
love with it!” shared Ally
“La Cita” comes as one of Deorro’s most diverse songs and arrives just a few weeks shy of his
long-awaited album, “ORRO”. The album features 18 astounding collaborations with some of
the most eclectic Latin artists around the globe and is arriving just in time for the summer. Last
month, Deorro teamed up with the iconic Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Maffio for the release of
his latest song “Yo Las Pongo.” The enticingly infectious song was created with the goal of
“making people who don’t dance, get off their feet to dance” and further proves that the blending
of genres can create something that is truly memorable. Earlier this year, he joined forces with
world renowned DJ, Tiësto, for their hit single “Savage.” Tiësto teased their new song during
his performance at Ultra 2022 that went on to create a massive crave just a few weeks shy of
the release. In October 2021, Deorro teamed up with platinum selling and Latin GRAMMY
award winning Cuban reggaeton duo Gente de Zona for the release of the hit song “Se Vuelve
Loca.” Further adding to the Mexican-American producer-artist’s repertoire of hit songs are
“Adios” with Andrez Babii, “Rumba” with Jeon, “Napoleona” with Elvis Crespo and
IAmChino, and “Ponte Pa’ Mi” with Jon Z.
