Los Angeles producer and DJ DESTRUCTO brings his “Let’s Be Friends Again” national North American tour to Los Angeles for a hometown show at Sound Nightclub this Saturday, February 16. Joining him on the bill is new friend Flava D.
Known for his unique style of production which melds house music and hip-hop (known as g-house), DESTRUCTO‘s set will feature special edits of cuts from his RENEGADE and WEST COAST EP’s along with his latest party tunes“Boom” featuring Problem “F**king S**T Up” featuring Busta Rhymes,“Y.O.D.O.” with Chris Lake and “Loaded” featuring Yo Gotti, just to name a few.
Ever since the appearance of “Hold On,” her 2013 debut release on the Butterz label, the U.K.’s Flava D‘s ably established herself as a player working in that furtive arena where garage, grime and bassline music intersects. More than adept at making the wonderfully smooth and bumpy UKG of tracks like “More Love,” she’s also demonstrated a knack for producing harder hitting club cuts like “In the Dance” and her remix of “Rhythm & Gash.” It’s precisely that kind of widened scope she explored and demonstrated to the fullest in the making of FABRICLIVE 88 when she set herself the task of producing 90% of the music used on the mix herself. When not on the road, you can find her at her newly established residency at London’s XOXO. Check her out at:
A bona fide tastemaker in his own right, DESTRUCTO is no stranger to introducing fans to the newest in what’s cool in music, whether it’s through his own studio productions, as host to his own SIRIUS XM radio show “DESTRUCTO Presents AMFAMFAMF” or his personally curated music events like All My Friends and FRIENDSHIP, which just completed its successful inaugural sail. (Check out Billboard Dance’s coverage here). When he goes out on tour it’s no different-in the past he introduced audiences to artists through support slots like Rezz, Fisher, Sita Abellan, CRAY, Anna Lunoe and many more.
