DJ Minx and Kevin Knapp unite for Factory 93’s landmark 100th release, ‘House Katz’.

Factory 93 celebrates its milestone 100th release with a special collaboration between two of the US house scene’s most influential voices, DJ Minx and Kevin Knapp. Titled ‘House Katz’, the track marks the duo’s first-ever joint production, dropping on 11th July and landing as a statement moment for the LA-based label as it continues to push US and global talent.

Hailing from opposite ends of the country, Minx and Knapp bring decades of underground pedigree to the table. Detroit’s revered “First Lady of Wax,” DJ Minx, has long been a staple of the city’s club circuit, shaping the scene through her Women on Wax label and collective while gaining global recognition as a pioneering force in house and techno. Kevin Knapp, meanwhile, has forged his path from Louisville to the West Coast via Berlin, known for his punchy, vocal-led productions across a long list of leading labels, as well as being the head of Plump Recordings and an outspoken advocate for inclusivity in the dance music scene.

On ‘House Katz’, the pair’s styles lock together with effortless synergy. Knapp’s unmistakable vocals ride a bed of chunky, low-slung grooves and heady, late-night sonics, a deeper cut that balances playful energy with heavyweight club weight. While Minx previously remixed Knapp’s ‘Dancing With The Devil’ in 2021, this marks their first proper studio link-up, with the result landing as a sleek and infectious roller purpose-built for the dancefloor. Serving up a slick and fitting 100th release, ‘House Katz’ embodies Factory 93’s dedication to showcasing the roots and future of house music, and the cross-generational, coast-to-coast connections driving the genre forward today.

DJ Minx, Kevin Knapp ‘House Katz’ drops via Factory 93 on 11th July 2025.
