Beatport Next Class of 2026 artist DJ_Dave is back on Mad Decent with “Fail-safe,” a new single that somehow sounds fully locked while carrying a properly wild backstory: she produced it in just 10 minutes.
The LA-based producer, coder, and live performance innovator has built her name around algorave craft, turning lines of code into sharp, high-gloss club music that feels both human and futuristic. “Fail-safe” pushes that world even further, landing as another flex from an artist who keeps finding new ways to make the dance floor glitch, snap, and glow.
Speaking about the new single :
“When making Fail-safe, I leaned on the code a lot. I wanted to see where it would take the song if I really just let random modifiers define some of the most prominent sounds, like the bassline and lead melody in the chorus. The lead melody itself was a random pattern that came from a c# minor pentatonic scale and I really feel like it tied the whole track together. This one felt like a true collaboration between myself and my computer.”
The track follows her euphoric Mad Decent single “one4u,” which arrived earlier this year after a breakout run of headline shows and viral momentum. “Fail-safe” is already moving fast too, with more than 200K views and 20K likes across social teasers. After two Miami shows opening for Ninajirachi, and a supporting slot for Alison Wonderland in Austin, DJ_Dave now heads into a run of East Coast and EU dates through May.
DJ_Dave’s single “Fail-safe” is out now via Mad Decent.
