Santo Domingo producer Boundary returns with PROXIMA CENTAURI out October 2, 2026 on digital and vinyl via Point Records. Named after the star closest to our sun, the album casts the listener as ‘the user’ who receives a mysterious, otherworldly program beamed down from the star itself. As the user explores its functions, they uncover one possibility: the power to reshape the course of the world.
Boundary’s influences from leftfield techno, IDM, and forgotten video game music are prevalent across the 8 tracks in ‘PROXIMA CENTAURI’; an emotive exploration of a soundtrack for an imaginary program, marbled with gritty synths, evocative melodies, and technological oddities. Boundary has cemented himself as a distinguished voice in the Latin electronic music scene over the past 9 years of releases, playing on NTS, Rinse, and featured in Pitchfork, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Vice, and more.
“In our current times, evil seems to prevail without end. There is an air of hopelessness, and we have to deal with an immense sense of powerlessness in our day-to-day. I hope this record can somehow bring some level of hope and faith in ourselves during these very dark times.” – Boundary
