Drumcapelli releases “VHS” EP on When Stars Align

The Brazlian rising artist delivers a three-track release that blends hypnotic groove, atmospheric depth, and late-night tension through a refined and immersive approach to club music.

Title track “VHS” opens the release with a warm low-end pulse and textured rhythmic flow, gradually unfolding through hazy tonal details and subtle melodic layers. The groove remains steady and controlled throughout, allowing the track’s nostalgic atmosphere to settle naturally into the room. Smooth and hypnotic, it’s built for deep, heads-down moments on the dancefloor.

On “The Other,” Drumcapelli shifts into a weightier and more driving space, pairing evolving textures with a focused rhythmic flow that slowly builds tension across the arrangement. Restrained in its progression, the track allows atmosphere and movement to take centre stage, creating a moody and absorbing late-night feel.

Closing the EP, “Strange Essence” leans into fluid rhythmic movement and subtle melodic detail, drifting through atmospheric textures that create depth without losing the track’s stripped-back control. Meditative and immersive, it captures a refined sense of momentum designed for those hypnotic moments on the floor.

Emerging from Goiás, Brazil, Drumcapelli began his journey in electronic music in 2021 and has quickly gained attention through his emotionally driven and deeply authentic productions. His sound has earned support from artists including Mochakk, Gordo, Manda Moor, and Sirus Hood, alongside a major career milestone when Solomun played one of his tracks at Pacha Ibiza. With performances across South America, including appearances at Brazil’s renowned Club Vibe, and releases on labels such as Mood Child, Track ID and now When Stars Align, he continues to establish a distinct artistic identity rooted in atmosphere, groove, and emotional depth. Alongside his productions and performances, he also launched Drum Room Records, a platform created to explore his artistic vision without limitations.

With the VHS EP, Drumcapelli delivers a deep and immersive statement on CamelPhat’s When Stars Align, balancing hypnotic groove, atmosphere, and late-night energy across three refined and immersive cuts.
