The two Dutch artists tap Benny Benassi’s iconic 2002 anthem for their latest Municipal Recordings cut.
There are few records more embedded in the DNA of electronic music than Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction.” Released in 2002, the electro house landmark helped define a generation of club culture – and now, Dutch duo FAULHABER and Kooyman are putting their stamp on it.
The collaboration arrives via Municipal Recordings, and leans into the tension between nostalgia and forward momentum. FAULHABER – the Amsterdam-based producer whose credits include a global smash with Alok and Vintage Culture – brings the polished, high-energy production sensibility that has made him a fixture on mainstages from Tomorrowland to Ushuaïa Ibiza. Kooyman, a consistent presence in the tech house space, adds a melodic depth that keeps the track from feeling like a straight-up throwback.
Already picking up early DJ support, “Satisfaction” is one of Municipal Recordings’ stronger plays this year: a track that knows exactly what it is, and delivers.
