[New York, NY – July 11, 2025] Today, Canadian heavyweights DVBBS and UK vocalist Abi Flynn release their collaborative single “Move A Little Closer” via Ultra Records – listen here. The official video is also out now, offering a visual companion to the track – watch here.
After months of connecting online, DVBBS were instantly captivated by Abi Flynn’s rich, hypnotic vocals and her story of overcoming cancer. They quickly began working on what would become “Move A Little Closer,” a soulful, euphoric anthem that has already taken TikTok by storm, racking up millions of views and over 4,000 sound uses, an early signal of the groundswell behind it.
“The minute I heard Abi Flynn’s voice & then learned about her courageous story of beating cancer, I knew she was beyond special,” said DVBBS. “We’ve been working on ‘Move A Little Closer’ since early spring & to have thousands of people across the world calling it their summer anthem is already a huge win for us. Just excited and grateful that this record gets to come out tomorrow & we can all celebrate together.”
Just 24 hours before their Escapade Festival set in Canada, DVBBS flew Abi out for a surprise onstage debut of “Move A Little Closer” in front of 30,000 fans. The duo followed it up by a packed out afterparty where fans were already mouthing the lyrics, a testament to the track’s resonance.
“Flying across the world to meet DVBBS and perform the song together at Escapade Festival was one of my top career highlights for me.” said Abi Flynn. “I’ve received countless messages from people expressing how much the song has meant to them which has been truly touching. As someone who has survived cancer, I write dance music to heal. The song came from a tender place in my own heart, and has called me into a deeper expression of myself as an artist.”
With its sultry blend of R&B soul and euphoric club energy, “Move A Little Closer” is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and is poised for a massive moment when it hits the Tomorrowland stage later this month.
