El Mukuka ft. Youngr ‘Do It Again’ Ultra Records

El Mukuka is an unusual story. Born in Lusaka, Zambia to a Greek Mother and Zambian Father, his appreciation and love for his two diverse cultures not only enriched but inspired him deeply. The rising African star is regarded as Zambia top DJ / Producer and is best known for fusing traditional African music with Western deep house and pop. The 28 year old DJ has played on the biggest festival stages that Africa has to offer, as well as performing alongside A-List African artists such as Black Coffee, Shimza, Goldfish and DJ Maphorisa.

Youngr features on the track with his signature style vocal delivery. The British/America artist, writer and producer gained traction with self-released debut single ‘Out Of My System’, Youngr has racked up over a hundred million streams and played over 160 shows in 45 countries, including sold-out tours across Europe and North America.

“Do it Again”, is El Mukuka’s second track release with Ultra Music. Showing some similarities to his first release, we can really see and understand ‘the sound’ of El Mukuka, with instrumentation such as syncopated pianos, shakers and array of percussion in his arsenal. Softly delivered keyboard parts and up close, personable vocal lines, “Do it Again” feels more like a handwritten letter rather than a throw away text message. Youngr and El Mukuka’s respective styles complement each other comfortably, so much so upon first listening, one may think a group was playing rather than two individuals with how well they each morph together, without losing each of their respective characteristics and style.
