Fresh off the release of “Quickness” alongside Peekaboo, Eliminate is back on Bassrush Records, with another hotly-anticipated new single. The high-energy dubstep banger has been opening his sets for months with fans clamoring for the full release.
The intensity is felt from the outset with tension-raising sirens and gritty low-end laying the foundation. “Watch me blow the speakers” vocals prime listeners for what’s to follow while adding to the hype. The first drop is an all-out assault of blistering dubstep that retains a merciless off-kilter groove. Living up to its namesake, the track shifts its genetic code and morphs with a cinematic break that ratchets up into a pounding four-four latter half. The punchy finale is a hair-raising ride at warp speed that’s driven by powerful percussion. The track shapeshifts one final time in the outro as chilling keys provide a delicate contrast to the heavy-hitting energy experienced throughout.
Eliminate reflects on the track saying: “‘Mutation’ is a song I’ve been opening my sets with for the past six months. I liked the idea of calling it ‘Mutation’ because the second drop sort of morphs into a completely different 4×4 feel. Both drops have been going off at shows and I’m stoked to finally put it out on Bassrush.”
Los Angeles-based producer Eliminate has established himself as one of the most innovative minds in bass music, hopping between subgenres with unstoppable finesse.
