After a year that’s seen his music ignite dancefloors from Ibiza to Miami, Switzerland-based talent Emery Bex keeps things moving with ‘Body Tension’ – a sleek two-tracker that marks his solo debut on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. Building on ‘promising newcomer’ tips, Emery has spent the past two years fine-tuning a sound that blends modern minimalism with infectious, groove-led energy – with releases on labels like Mood Child, LTF Records, and Whippin Records, and his viral remix of Kiko Navarro’s ‘Soñando Contigo’ becoming a summer staple. Following a standout performance at UNVRS in Ibiza for Paradise, Emery now returns with a release that channels the momentum and confidence of a defining year.
“This release is really special to me. Over the past two years, Jamie has continuously supported my tracks across different labels, and especially this year, he played a lot of my music on some of the biggest stages. That gave me a huge boost of motivation and pushed me to create more. Body Tension came to life after a lot of back-and-forth between Jamie and me – I truly appreciated his feedback and tried to align with his vision while staying true to my own style. After a few attempts, we finally both agreed on this final version, and I couldn’t be happier with my first solo release on Hottrax after debuting last summer with ‘Keep It Cool’.” – Emery Bex.
Leading with ‘Body Tension’, the title track builds pressure and release through tightly wound percussion, flickering textures, and hypnotic low-end movement, a masterclass in understated energy. ‘Got 2 Luv’ follows with a deeper edge, lacing rhythmic vocal hooks over rolling drums and gliding basslines, serving up an abundance of motion and dancefloor movement.
