Set for release across July, the two singles will drop via Pryda Recordings/Virgin on the 14th of July and the 28th of July.
World-renowned DJ, producer and label owner Eric Prydz will revive his most well-known alias Pryda this summer, unveiling the first music under the project for half a decade.Following a seemingly never-ending list of ID requests as part of his inimitable, ever-evolving HOLO live show, the Swedish talent now puts title to two of the heavily-requested anthems as he brings back the alias in emphatic fashion. Recently teased on his own socials, showcasing a clip from his recent performance at Sonar Festival, the two-track split release will land via Pryda Recordings across July, with ‘The Return’ dropping on the 14th, followed by ‘Of Me’ on the 28th – with the singles arriving just ahead of his highly-anticipated HOLO debut at Tomorrowland.
Created nearly twenty years ago, with seminal releases such as ‘Aftermath’ (2005), ‘Muranyi’ (2007) and ‘Pjanoo’ (2008), the instrumental Pryda project has grown to be a leading influence within electronic music – with the ‘Pryda Sound’ often referred to almost as it’s own sub-genre. Expect those signature resonant, layered melodies and dopamine-inducing synths while also looking ahead to the future as Pryda returns to lead the way once again when it comes to all things melodic and progressive.
Pryda ‘The Return’ is out now via Pryda Recordings, with ‘Of Me’ set for release on 28th July 2023.
