Following his appearance on the latest instalment of Repopulate Mars’ tastemaking ‘Repopulate Stars’ series, with his ‘Full Tilt’ cut garnering support from BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story and Yolanda Be Cool, Arizona-based eta now turns his sights to sister imprint South Of Saturn, making his fiery debut with the sun-kissed ‘Don’t Bother’ EP.
Title cut ‘Don’t Bother’ perfectly showcases eta’s preservation of the classics, fusing dusty old-school jazz samples with a funk-fuelled bassline and airtight drum programming. ‘Lovely Way’ offers up a more playful sound with wonky synths and hooky vox samples that bring late-night mischief to this irresistible groove.
