Singer songwriter Fleur Rouge returns with her latest, brooding single Lost Cause. The track follows the successful release of ‘God Complex’ earlier this year and is the third song from her upcoming EP, due for release at the end of 2024.

Fleur’s candid lyricism combined with a slick, dreamy style of electro and sultry vocal make for an alluring interpretation of alternative pop music. Fleur’s idiosyncratic approach has attracted support from industry tastemakers including Clash MagazineBBC Radio 1’s Future AlternativeBBC IntroducingOnes To Watch and many more.

Lost Cause is another example of Fleur’s ability to produce stylish, relevant pop music, flawlessly straddling the line between light and dark. Opening with a thudding, hypnotic beat, Fleur’s smooth, melodic vocal takes centre stage emitting a tinge of sadness as she repeats the heartfelt line “…we were just a lost cause…”. The single is an intense biographical admission of a broken relationship and facing up to the realities of its collapse. As Fleur explains: “I wrote this song about a relationship I had with someone who was in the music industry. The music brought us together but, ironically, was the thing that pulled us apart. It touches on the bitter reality I had to face where even if you love that person so much, if you’re not compatible it’s inevitably not going to work.”

Born in London, Fleur is currently based in Manchester. Her classically trained background helped develop an impressive vocal range which Fleur has nurtured over a ten year period of writing her own music. A mainstay on the Manchester live circuit, Fleur’s commanding stage presence and faultless delivery, has wowed fans and influencers alike.
