Los Angeles (June 21, 2019) – Officially in the summer season, rising L.A.-based DJ and producer Fluencee arrives with his new dance pop single, “Skinny Dip.” The new song, loaded with a glossy saxophone melody and dialed in with precision production, is ripe for summer and a seamless fit for a poolside playlist. “My birthday usually falls on the first day of summer, so I wanted to make a warm, sun-kissed beachside jam for people to rock out to,” says Fluencee. “I produced some smooth saxophone patterns, breezy xylophone strikes and a vocoded Daft Punk-inspired refrain that oozes tropical vibes.”
Sometimes the inability to speak with fluency can limit artistic creation. That’s not the case for the Philly-born Fluencee who continues to ascend and achieve accolades with each new release. After being bullied throughout his childhood due to a lifelong stutter, Fluencee finally chose to own it by speaking fluently through his music.
“Skinny Dip” arrives hot on the heels of “Stuck In A Dream” and “Silver Lining.” Find Fluencee’s full catalogue via Spotify, here.
Some praise for Fluencee:
“DJ and producer Fluencee has broken through at a rate most artists would envy — and for good reason.”
-Steph Evans,Dancing Astronaut,August 12, 2018
“…Fluencee has been someone we’ve had our eyes on for a while…cementing himself in the scene with his unique electronic twist on pop music…‘Silver Lining’ is a continuation of this journey in the form of a hypnotizing melodic trap song.”
-Aaron Root, Run The Trap, April 18, 2019
“Fluencee lets his spirit shine on new track ‘Chasing After You’…Fluencee is a technical wizard capable of steering listeners through sonic magnets…his unorthodox approach to pop and electronic music is an attestation to his artistry.”
-Matteo Urella, Vanyaland, March 1, 2019
“Fluencee says what he can’t in real life with beautiful & explorative ‘Foxgloves’ EP.”
-Lennon Cihak, Magnetic Magazine, September 20, 2018
With his unique electronic twist on pop music, Fluencee has burst onto the contemporary crossover scene. In May 2018, Fluencee released an official remix of The Chainsmokers’ track “Somebody” on Disruptor/Columbia Records, which Billboard lauded for its “futuristic shimmer.” His debut EP, Foxgloves (2018), saw its titular track receive spins on Insomniac Radio (SiriusXM) and EDC Radio (iHeartMedia). In addition, Fluencee’s debut original single “Better” peaked at #21 on Spotify’s “Global Viral 50” chart and eclipsed 16 million collective streams. When he’s not spinning at world-renowned events like Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando and Sundance Film Festival, he lends his unique background and production prowess to inspire others. He was chronicled in YourEDM‘s Aspire to Inspire series, which profiles individuals who have overcome personal and professional challenges to encourage resilience and change.
