Dreamstate reveals the fifth installments of its ongoing compilation series, featuring exclusive tracks from Karl Mac & MDDLTN, Tyler Jack, Dustin Husain, and Sequence Six & Amunete
Dreamstate Records continues its exploration of the vast touch points within trance music via the release of ‘Convergence 5.’ Releasing on August 22nd, the fifth installment of its celebrated compilation EP series brings together four exclusive tracks from Karl Mac & MDDLTN, Tyler Jack, Dustin Husain, and Sequence Six & Amunete, showcasing the diversity and expansive creativity stemming from the genre.

Kicking off the compilation, Karl Mac and MDDLTN combine on “Cala Vida,” a hard house-infused dancefloor-pleaser wrapped in a nostalgic club aesthetic. Driving basslines intertwine with energetic, hi-end percussive elements, staccato synth lines, and intermittent vocal chops, creating a track that feels both raw and playful.
MDDLTN captures the spirit of the track, saying, “‘Cala Vida’ reflects the real sound of Balearic trance and the real true essence of Ibiza.”
Stepping in with the effort’s second number is rising Irish sensation Tyler Jack furthers the appreciation for classic influences with his offering, “Here We Go.” Giving a respectful nod to ‘90s dream trance, the Belfast producer skillfully weaves through a build of uplifting melodies, squelchy synth layers, and shuffling percussion, eventually erupting into a euphoric, peak-time climax.
Reflecting on the release, Tyler Jack says, “I’m so happy to finally bring you my new release ‘Here We Go,’ coming out on the unreal Dreamstate Records. It’s been going off in my sets for the past few months, and now it’s ready to share with the world.”
Next up, label regular and LA-based phenom Dustin Husain sweeps in to highlight his uncanny ability at crafting energetic, uplifting club cuts. “Round 1” is no exception, a punchy tech-powered trance piece laced with euphoric energy. Pulsing synths and layered melodic motifs create a sense of urgency, while subtle atmospheric textures contrast the knockout power of its acid-tinged drive.
Dustin Husain captures the track’s spirit succinctly: “Round 1.. fight!”
Closing out the compilation on a breathtaking note, Los Angeles-based producer Sequence Six collaborates with Latvian singer/songwriter and artist Amunete on “Affirmation.” Her ethereal, conscious-expanding vocals are grounded in positive affirmations, while airy, uplifting progressions transform into driving psychedelia. The track provides a reflective and transcendent finish, leaving listeners with a sense of clarity and optimism.
Sequence Six notes, “‘Affirmation’ is a reminder to embrace, accept, and facilitate positive change in our lives.”
