In late 2023, Storm discovered a unique opportunity to access a collection of NFTs released by Snoop Dogg during the pandemic, unlocking the iconic rapper’s vocals from an exclusive set. After a year and a half in the making, ‘Dippies Trip’ is more than just a project, but a fusion of Storm’s musicality and cutting-edge innovation. With slick drum programming fusing thumping wobbles, crisp percussion and a one-of-a-kind Snoop Dogg vocal that completely transforms the track, ‘Dippies Trip’ is set to become a must-have in the arsenals of both DJs and fans alike.
“To me, this was not just a project; it was a dream come true to work with the voice of one of my biggest musical influences, an artist who had shaped my musical journey from the very beginning. Upon acquiring the NFT stems and the acapella, I plunged headfirst into the creative process. I experimented with different interpretations of the track, producing two distinct versions. One was crafted to be more radio-friendly, designed to resonate with a broader audience, while the other was tailored for the club scene, ensuring it would ignite the dancefloor. My intention was to infuse my own distinctive sound into both versions, making sure they felt authentic to my style in DJ sets. As a resident of Ibiza’s Unusual Suspects party and the founder of Crunch, Storm has played at venues like DC10, IPSE Berlin, and Pacha Ibiza, with his recently announced Crunch lineup for OFFSónar featuring wAFF, Manda Moor, and Neverdogs, showcasing his growing influence. Through his label, Storm is dedicated to fostering an environment of creative freedom for himself and his friends, with 2025 promising to take his craft even further.
