Friend Within is an artist in tune with Underground House Music. After releasing his debut album ‘Hope’ last year, a dance floor focused LP longing for the return to clubland and live music, ‘Monkey Bars’ is the relief in the album’s longing.
The record itself is built around its roughed-up drum groove, a deep, rolling bass line topped with 90’s era chord stabs throughout, ‘Monkey Bars’ is a record that tethers the line between club slammer and a quirky House classic.
