Swedish electronic music giants Galantis are back with a new intergalactic summer anthem ‘Spaceship’ featuring Uffie – out now via Atlantic/Big Beat. The single is a hedonistic mix of classic, electro-house with slinky synths and warped, child-like vocals that have become almost signature to Galantis. The track features American-French singer and DJ Uffie, who previously collaborated with Charli XCX and Justice.
Galantis said: “After The Aviary World Tour, we were so pumped to get back out there with new music for the dance floor. ‘Spaceship’ takes us to the core of Galantis and our love for dance music. We couldn’t be more excited to join forces with Uffie. The first time we heard ‘Pop The Glock’, it blew our minds… and since then, Uffie’s music has always stuck with us.”
Uffie said of the single: ‘Spaceships and summer are like milk and cookies… it’s just so right! I am thrilled to collaborate with the very talented Galantis duo on a track I love so much. It leaves me pining for the dance floor every time.”
The action-packed music video for ‘Spaceship’ was shot in Japan with Galantis and Uffie racing around a multi-faceted and ever-changing cityscape.
Galantis has amassed over 3 billion streams to date with a string of global, platinum-selling singles including: ‘No Money’, ‘Runaway (U & I)’, ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ and ‘Love On Me’ (with Hook N Sling). The Grammy-nominated duo is widely recognised as one of the most in-demand dance music acts on the planet, with Billboard ranking them at #25 on their Dance 100 Artists of 2018 list.
‘Spaceship’ is the first of a string of new tracks Galantis will be releasing this year, following 2017’s The Aviary, which hit the Top 10 album chart in 23 countries (including #1 in Japan). Galantis returns to the UK this summer to play Creamfields and SW4 on 25 August.
Tickets are available now via wearegalantis.com.
