In his own words GIDEÖN made Hectors Revenge, “with a few very specific dancefloors in mind. London’s queer warehouse party Adonis, Berghain’s Snax party, Wrecked in New York, and Hot Mass in Pittsburgh”. These sexually charged queer dancefloors are often scary enough to discourage the average “basic” clubber and because of this, still manage to retain their underground energy. The vogue ballroom battles featured in ‘Paris Is Burning’ are now a widespread queer cultural phenomenon, but these days often more likely to be soundtracked by the harder, faster music of clubs like Moustache Mondays at La Cita in LA. Hectors Revenge was built for these spaces.
