Club Gordo is above all a very unusual place in the scene due to its philosophy of clubbing which is the total opposite to what the electronic music industry seems to have become. Club Gordo doesn’t announce DJs, it doesn’t allow videos or photos. This helps to give full rein to on one hand the artistic creation, and on the other, the audience’s freedom of behavior. Finalversion3, Favsto and Vadimir Dynamo, the project’s creative’ minds, have surrounded themselves with national and international electronic artists that have followed this philosophy over the course of its four years of life.
Gordo Trax is born as a result of this synergy, a label that will give space to consecrated artists and up and coming artists without taking into account the size of theis names. Its first release is the best proof of it, the EP “Departure / Arrival” composed by 3 original tracks and 1 remix whose authors remain unknown. “Departure” owns an atmospheric nature that contrasts with the forcefulness of its percussion; “Roads” helps to relax the tension but without losing the characteristic percussion of its predecessor to which it adds mysterious vocals; “Arrival” keeps the same atmospheric tone but with an evident science fiction reminiscence. The EP finishes with a remix of “Roads” that works like a circle. First, its nature gets reduced to its minimum expression, then little by little different elements are added to culminate in a climax, and lastly, we get back to the initial minimalism.
