Written, produced, and recorded on a 3-day retreat in San Diego solely focusing on creating art with no rules, the 8-track masterpiece sees Grabbitz marry his electronic soundscapes with alternative rock elements, demonstrating his evolution as an artist. With captivating dance music production chops, powerful vocals, and impressive instrumentation, the new album captures the reinvention of Grabbitz’s experimental artistic vision. The album is a cohesive listening experience with each song blending into the next. The album’s single “SURRENDER PEACE!” leaves its origins ambiguous, allowing listeners to resonate with their own profound connection. It masters an optimal blend of Grabbitz’s pristine rocktronic elements, which have landed him on the cover of Spotify’s ‘Rocktronic’ playlist more than once.
Since his 2014 Monstercat debut “Here With You Now,” Grabbitz has established himself as an innovative and boundary-pushing producer spanning multiple genres. He has amassed a dedicated global fanbase from his touching and relatable lyrics and uniquely crafted live performances. He has collaborated with electronic icons like ILLENIUM, deadmau5, and Zedd, joined acclaimed pop-rock bands Underoath and OneRepublic, and most recently worked with Canadian rapper bbno$ on the latest VALORANT Champions theme song. His first VALORANT theme song “Die For You” has accumulated over 200,000,000 streams to date. He’s graced multiple charts with world-renowned records, including his Juno-nominated record “Someone Else” with REZZ that peaked at #1 in Canada and #12 on the U.S. Alternative charts, and “Let Go” with deadmau5, which peaked at #11 on Billboard’s ‘Hot Dance/Electronic Songs’ chart.
Grabbitz shares, “This album embodies a few things: becoming what you were meant to be, dealing with pain along the way, and embracing the ride. I’ve been blessed to have accomplished some of the things I have in my career thus far, and I can’t help but to feel this burning momentum coursing through my veins everyday. ‘Let Them Only See Butterflies’ represents that rise and stepping into your destiny. I used that intense feeling to deliver this album based on raw intuition. Every album I release is simply a byproduct of my insatiable need to express myself through music. I would be on this journey with or without an audience, and I’m blessed to have one, and a supportive one at that.”
Grabbitz kicks off his live experience tour today at Cervantes in Denver, CO and will make his way to Liquid in Madison, WI, a hometown stop in Buffalo, NY at Town Ballroom, and others. He will also play his new album at festivals including Bass Canyon, Lost Lands, and Lights All Night this year. Grabbitz brought his vision for ‘Let Them Only See Butterflies’ through creative filmed performances that fans can catch on his website and Instagram.

Grabbitz Bio
Nick Chiari aka Grabbitz proved himself to the dance music world in 2016 when he got deadmau5’s stamp of approval, and was featured on the debut single “Let Go” from his ‘/W:2016ALBUM/’ release. He’s since been perfecting bass crossover live performances blended with his own mix of live vocals, pop, and rock, developed proper rock-star stage presence, and in 2020 had a breakout alt radio hit with Rezz, “Someone Else,” which went to #1 in Canada and #12 in the U.S. Alternative charts.
In 2021, “Die For You,” an original by Grabbitz created for the Valorant World Championship, was released. It has since amassed over 100 million plays across YouTube and Spotify. Zedd, having loved the song, elected to remix it and invited Grab to perform it with him at the Valorant live streamed championship in Germany.
In 2022, Grabbitz released his LP ‘Time Isn’t Real,’ which has since been re-released with a Deluxe Edition, has amassed over 14 million streams to date and a Top 25 Alternative hit “Pigs In The Sky.” This album placed him on the cover of major Spotify playlists including Bass Arcade, The New Alt, and even landing the cover of both RockTronic, and Alternative Beats.
Grabbitz has worked with all of the heavy-hitters in the electronic world including Rezz, deadmau5, Illenium, Zedd, Subtronics, Dabin, Excision, Peekaboo, and more. However, after all of these collaborations, he is ready to make an impact on his own with a brand new live show and his self-written, self-produced, and self-recorded album: ‘LET THEM ONLY SEE BUTTERFLIES.’
Dance music has long awaited a frontman, and as anyone who’s been to a Grabbitz show lately will tell you, it’s time…
