Starting with a cover of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’s classic theme song, “Ecstasy Of Soul” quickly evolves into a monstrous dubstep festival anthem. The track first debuted in September 2021 during the first-ever Zeds Dead B2B GRiZ set at Goldrush Music Festival in Phoenix, and has become their most fan-requested song of the year.

Regarding the collaboration, Zeds Dead said, “We were doing a big back-to-back set in Arizona and wanted to create something super epic for the intro. We tossed around a few ideas and finally decided to try something with a version of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly theme. Something about the Wild West and the new frontier seemed to be calling our name. GRiZ is the best and this was a lot of fun to work on, it brought us back to our old remixing days. We’ve been playing it at every show since and it’s gotten the most insane reactions. Stoked to finally put it out!”

GRiZ added, “After a year of playing this tune out at shows, I’m stoked to finally release it! I’ve been a fan of the Zeds Dead homies since forever ago and it’s a dream come true working with them!”

Over the course of seven albums, countless collaborations, and sold-out events, GRiZ continues to be one of electronic music’s most celebrated and inspiring artists. 2022 has seen the release of GRiZ’s celebrated Chasing The Golden Hour 4 LP, the return of his hard-hitting Bangers.Zip EP series, and imaginative collaborations with LSDREAM (“Funkonaut”), Big Gigantic (“Open Your Mind”), CloZee (“Color Of Your Soul”), and TVBOO (“Bass Music”). A charismatic performer, GRiZ’s live set has evolved into an enchanting and unparalleled audiovisual experience, displayed throughout his headline festival performances and iconic curated multi-day events, like the debut edition of ‘Triple Rainbow’ at Wisconsin’s Alpine Valley Music Theatre and the sold-out return of ‘Another World’ at Colorado’s 1st Bank Center. GRiZ will close out the year with ‘Space Camp’ at Virginia’s Hampton Coliseum, and charity event ‘12 Days of GRiZMAS’ followed by 2 nights of concerts at The Masonic Temple in his hometown of Detroit.

Canadian duo Zeds Dead have helped define the vintage dubstep sound, popularizing the genre since the late 00s. Generations of artists count the Canadian duo among their biggest inspirations, fueled by the creation of the Deadbeats and Altered States labels. This past year, Zeds Dead had revamped their influence and acclaim with marquee performances, releases, and their latest nationwide Deadbeats label tour. The Deadbeats tour—the most unique, diverse electronic road shows around—stopped at iconic venues across the country such as Masonic Temple in Detroit, WaMu Theatre in Seattle, The Shrine in LA, The Brooklyn Mirage in NYC, and more. Further cementing their status as bass music’s finest, Zeds Dead took over Denver this past 4th of July weekend for a 5-set, 3-night run in Denver, the unofficial bass music capital of America. The annual event not only included sold out, back-to-back nights at Red Rocks, but an outdoor Jamboree and 2-set gig at the renowned Mission Ballroom.
