Los Angeles native Guru Reza has chalked up a slew of releases on labels such as Nervous, Insomniac, and Distance Music, to name a few. Channelling inspiration from the terrace grooves of Ibiza and Miami, Reza unveils his punchy, dancefloor-ready house sounds on South Of Saturn across his three-track ‘House Personality’ EP.
Title track ‘House Personality’ welcomes a snaking production armed with speaker-rattling bass, slick drums and cybernetic chopped-up vocals. ‘Hold On’ enters more sun-kissed territories with its playful synth work and earworm vox samples before ‘Rafiki’ heads late into the night, bringing rumbling basslines and tumbling organic percussion to the table.
