Visionary producer, singer & DJ HAAi – aka Teneil Throssell – announces a new career milestone with news that she’ll be the next artist to curate legendary mix series DJ-Kicks, releasing this November 10th on !K7 Records. Featuring three brand new tracks from Teneil as well as exclusive songs from an all-star line-up of friends and electronic music figureheads like I.JORDAN, Koreless, Jon Hopkins, Kam-Bu, River Moon, DJ PGZ, Manni Dee, Joshua James, The Blessed Madonna & Cocktail Party Effect, DJ-Kicks: HAAi is themed around the concept of “Always Ascending”, a nod to the next chapter of her career as well as her 2022 critically acclaimed debut album Baby, We’re Ascending. Speaking on the album, Teneil says “I’m so proud to present my DJ-Kicks filled with exclusive tracks from some of my favourite artists from around the globe. The theme of the mix is ‘Always Ascending’ with each artist interpreting this brief individually. From I. JORDAN’s Life On The Wing to The Blessed Madonna’s Strong. The mix was made to give the listener the feeling of constantly ascending to collective euphoria.”
It’s been another incredible year for HAAi. With over 100 shows last year alone, HAAi is currently embarking on her third US headline tour in two years and will be curating an evening at landmark Belgian festival Nuits Sonores this October 14th which will see performances from the likes of Boys Noize, Vegyn, KARENN, Luxe, Tai Lokun, Scaler, Josey Rebelle and Dienne. Additionally, Teneil performed alongside Kylie Minogue for her album launch with the British Fashion Council over LFW as well as cut the official remix for Minogue’s hit single Padam Padam. From performing on behalf of AAA brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Prada & Gucci to collaborating with a diverse range of artists like Romy xx, Fred Again…, Kai Isaiah Jamal, Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, Warpaint, Kam-Bu & Daniel Avery, HAAi has distinguished herself as a prolific artist capable of thriving in every environment.
To coincide with the release, Teneil has also announced a very special London event An Evening With HAAi… this October 20th at 60 Dock Road, which will feature performances from HAAi as well as a carefully curated selection of artists including Club Fitness, Debonair, Jaye Ward, Luxe, Optimo & Tsuniman.
