Hard Dance Legend Darren Styles and Australian Hardstyle Leader Toneshifterz Team Up For Debut Collaboration “Wasted” on Monstercat

Infused with thumping elements of Psy and UK Hardcore, this highly-anticipated record makes its awaited entrance to deliver the ultimate, party-pumping hard dance experience. Driving dancefloors and festivals with adrenaline since 2018, “Wasted” has been a staple in the sets of Darren Styles and Toneshifterz themselves, Da TweekazStonebank, and Hixxy.

Darren Styles shares“Toneshifterz and I have been friends for years, so it made sense to finally get together on a track. I’ve been a huge fan of his sound, so I really wanted to fuse our sounds together. “Wasted” was really fun to make and it’s the first new music that I’ve released in months, so I hope the fans will be as excited as I am for this new music.”

Toneshifterz adds“We were just looking to make a party banger, there are some Psy influences in “Wasted,” and definitely hardstyle, hard dance, and UK Hardcore influence. Me and Darren would just send bits and pieces to each other and would slowly piece it together. Darren was showing me this cool vocal hook in the track and I really loved it, so we just ended up proceeding with it!”

With hits such as “Us Against The World” and “Dance Tonight” with Timmy Trumpet, and his #4 chart-topping UK Album ‘Skydivin’’ which sold over a quarter million copies, Darren Styles has etched himself in UK Hardcore history pushing boundaries with his innovative sounds and passion for developing the scene. Darren Styles Bio 

Darren Styles is a DJ & producer that’s never far from the forefront of the harder styles of electronic dance music worldwide. His productions have gone from strength to strength over the years as his studio work, both solo and collaborations, continues to take the charts by storm. His partnership with Norwegian hardstyle act Da Tweekaz created some of hard dance’s biggest tracks. Darren’s work with duo W&W on the track “Long Way Down” catapulted him to a whole new audience. His track “Switch” is arguably one of the most versatile tracks of recent years, featuring in every big name DJ set. In the past Darren found solo success with the release of his debut album ‘SkyDivin’,’ which entered the official UK Album chart at number 4 and sold over a quarter of a million copies. Darren was also the first UK Hardcore artist to play world-renowned festival EDC Las Vegas back in 2013, and has been a staple on the BassCon stage every year since. More recently Darren has achieved some of the most significant moments of his career as he ticked off debut sets at Europe’s biggest festivals including Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Defqon 1 and Creamfields. Sell out headline shows are par for the course at venues such as Exchange in LA to the Enmore in Sydney to Fuze in Kuala Lumpur. Toneshifterz Bio 

Toneshifterz AKA Elie Abwi is the heavy weight and true ambassador of the Australian Hard Dance scene, representing Australian Hardstyle around the world. He confirmed his status on main stages both down under, all over Europe Canada, South America & Asia. Some of these festivals and stages include, Defqon.1 Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, Tommorowland, Mysteryland, Airbeat 1, HSU (Harder Styles United), Kazantip, Hardbass, I AM HARDSTYLE, Decibel Outdoor Festival, IQON, & to name a few.

His early success began with hits like ‘Jaydee’ and ‘Empire of the Sun,’ alongside Noisecontrollers, and his debut album, ‘Till Daybreak Meets.’ These initial achievements laid the foundation for his later huge hits, including ‘Paradise,’ ‘All or Nothing,’ and ‘Time is Now,’ boasting more than 50 million streams on his releases. 

Toneshifterz had the honor of making the Official Defqon.1 Festival anthem twice, ‘Psychedelic Wasteland’ in 2011 and ‘Dragonblood’ in 2016.2013 marked the massive single release ‘Last Night (feat Chris Madin)’ and the follow-up track with Chris Madin called ‘Parachutes’ in 2014. This then led to his massive collaboration with Brennan heart and MC DV8 called ‘My Identity.’
