American producer and DJ Hartshorn returns to Basscon Records with his third single, “Ocean,” set to be released on October 11th.

“Ocean” is a love ballad wrapped in the euphoria of modern happy hardcore. The track sets sail with soaring synth stabs and a smitten female vocal hook that’s drawn into the current of a new romance. Anthemic leads and thunderous kicks bring the emotion to its peak, embodying the feeling of deep affection of being swept away in the sweet embrace of that special someone.
Speaking about the track, Hartshorn shared his inspiration: “I wanted to bring everything that modern happy hardcore is: soulful vocals with chops, big uplifting leads and a driving reverse bass to bring it home.”
Denver native Hartshorn has firmly established himself as one of the leading names in the American hardcore scene. Self-proclaimed as the ‘American face of happy hardcore,’ he is known for propagating the sounds of the UK hard dance genre for the last decade. He has previously released two singles on the label, “Erase Me” and “Thinkin’ About You,” which earned radio support from notable names like Hixxy, Outforce, MKN, Jake Ryan, and Matduke, as well as press coverage from Moon Lvnding, EDM Identity, Filthy Beat Inspectors, and Festival Season.
A seasoned performer, Hartshorn has graced the stages of renowned events such as Wasteland, Beyond Wonderland, Clubland Live, and Hardcore Heaven. His sound has caught the attention and support of tastemakers including Kayzo, Jordan Suckley, Timmy Trumpet, and Showtek.
