“Onomono” hits hard with cinematic intensity, kicking off with ominous music box melodies and choir-like harmonies that escalate into a heart-pounding orchestral buildup. Dubby’s relentless flow slices through the track with ice-cold precision, setting the stage for a gut-wrenching dubstep drop defined by guttural bass and apocalyptic energy. The track effortlessly bridges dubstep’s heavy-hitting sonic elements with a gritty hip-hop backbone, capturing HEYZ’s signature hybrid style.

Fanning the flames of his forthcoming body of work, HEYZ introduces the single, as well as the vision for his highly anticipated EP, saying: “SO STOKED to finally release ‘Onomono’ with Dubby, the lead single from my ‘HEYZ’D And Confused’ EP. This EP marks a new era for my project and ‘Onomono’ is the perfect introductory glimpse into the world we’re building: New tour, new music, new visuals—everything is going to be bigger and better this year. I can’t wait to show everyone the rest of the EP and everything to come!”

Since pivoting from techno into bass music, HEYZ has rapidly emerged as a major player, releasing tracks on powerhouse labels such as Circus Records, Bite This, Lowly, and Deadbeats. His 2023 ‘Lost In The HEYZ’ EP on Bassrush earned praise from key outlets like This Song Is Sick, Fresh Music Freaks, and MP3 Mag, with standout single “Coming Up (Like That)” accumulating over 1.3 million streams and receiving live support from bass legend Liquid Stranger.

This year sees HEYZ dominating stages at Zeds Dead’s Deadrocks at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, alongside appearances at major festivals including Lost Lands, Wobbleland, Illfest, North Coast, Dancefestopia, and more. Further cementing his rise, HEYZ kicks off his extensive ‘HEY’D And Confused’ headline tour, bringing his genre-defying sounds to +35 cities nationwide.

With “Onomono,” HEYZ continues his unstoppable ascent, delivering a track destined to ignite festival crowds and secure his place as one of bass music’s most exciting and innovative artists today.

More About HEYZ

Native to Greensboro, NC, but currently settled in Denver, CO, Mike Hayes has gravitated towards an innate musical influence since an early age, leading to the emergence of the HEYZ project. Promptly garnering interest in his palatable dance floor techno from top labels such as deadmau5’s mau5trap following his introduction to the electronic scene in 2018, HEYZ eventually began leaning into a more bass-heavy approach. Comfortably finding his footing in unfamiliar territory, HEYZ’ avant-garde take on bass music immediately cemented its rightful place, quickly attracting attention from all quarters of the community. Narrowly bordering the line between a contemporary and nostalgia-inducing sound, HEYZ has since released on a number of critically acclaimed labels, including Circus Records, Bite This, Lowly, and Deadbeats, only further confirming his natural ability to appeal to a wide scope of audiences. Hand in hand with his skyward trajectory, HEYZ has also built an increasingly substantial fanbase through alternative channels such as TikTok, where he predominantly broadcasts his likable comedic personality. Firm in his whimsical ideology, he translates this seamlessly to the musical realm through his growing discography and live settings. With performances at large scale festivals across the nation among the likes of Lost Lands, Wakaan, Bass Canyon, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and his forthcoming “HEYZ’D And Confused” headline tour. HEYZ remains steadfast in his endeavors, proving his longevity in the dance arena.
