Hidde van Wee makes his first LOCUS appearance with his four-track ‘Dawn Of Day’ EP.

Making a name as one of the Netherlands’ most promising talents, Hidde van Wee has quickly put his stamp on proceedings early in his career via releases on labels including Up The Stuss, HOME//GRXWN. and Heavy House Society. Drawing inspiration from across the house spectrum, through to UKG and electro, while maintaining a refined approach to ensure his sound is his own, he has earned love from across the scene. Meanwhile, away from the studio, appearances at venues such as Shelter, Thuishaven, BRET and Toffler, alongside performances across the UK, have further underlined his versatility, and his debut on Enzo Siragusa’s LOCUS offers a four-track deep dive that journeys into the far corners of the night.

Opening the EP, ‘Waves’ lays down shuffling percussion, shimmering tones and subtly warped textures to set the tone from the outset. The title cut ‘Dawn Of Day’ follows with slick drum programming and airy synths, balancing tension and vibrancy across its rumbling bassline. On the flip, ‘Fragments’ leans into tighter rhythmic patterns and skippy vocal chops, delivering a sweeping journey through cosmic tones, while closing track ‘I’m Here To Stay’ rounds things out with glowing pads and punchy kicks built with the dancefloor in mind.

Hidde Van Wee ‘Dawn Of Day’ EP lands on 5th June 2026 via LOCUS.
