Highlnd Issues Rock-Infused Cinematic Trap Remix of SABAI’s “Are You Happy Now” ft. Linney on Lost In Dreams Records

SABAI’s poignant single “Are You Happy Now,” featuring lauded singer and producer Linney, gets a gripping second wind as Lost In Dreams Records unleashes a new remix from rising LA producer Highlnd. Known for his potent blend of emo-laced dance music and high-octane trap, Highlnd delivers a version that dials up the drama while staying true to the emotional core of the original.

This remix recasts the breakup anthem with unflinching force. Linney’s aching vocal anchors the production, now surrounded by glitch-laced textures, cinematic builds, and jagged trap percussion. Highlnd injects a livewire edge through rocktronic elements, pushing the track toward a volatile drum and bass finale that mirrors the chaos of heartbreak with dancefloor precision.

The remix marks a return to Highlnd’s heavier roots, a contrast to the euphoric tones of his recent ‘Take Me Down’ EP on the label. A longtime friend of SABAI, Highlnd debuted this version live during a special guest appearance during SABAI’s set on the Lost In Dreams-hosted stage at Beyond Wonderland SoCal, where its visceral energy struck a chord with fans in real time.

Recounting the process from fine-tuning the mix to seeing it debut live to a sea of fans at the festival, Highlnd shares: “From the studio to premiering for packed out crowds at Beyond Wonderland, working on this remix has been so much fun. We’ve been friends for years now and it’s always a good time whenever we get to work on music together!”

Highlnd’s genre-spanning catalog has earned support from tastemakers like Trap Nation and Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday, Trap Mojito, and Bass Lounge. With radio play from Illenium, Gryffin, and Alison Wonderland, plus remix credits for NGHTMRE and Big Gigantic, Highlnd continues to blur the lines between emotional resonance and bass-driven ferocity.

With this release, Highlnd delivers a fierce reinterpretation that magnifies the pain and power of “Are You Happy Now.” It’s a reminder of his production range—unafraid to swing between delicacy and destruction.
