Riding high as ANTS’ Next Gen 2024 winners, London-based DJ duo FIRZA are in the midst of a breakout twelve months, with a busy 2025 schedule within Europe coupled with recognition of their percussive sound from the likes of Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. With previous releases on Microhertz, NATURE, and WYLD, to pair now join Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with their three-track EP ‘Erase It’ on 27th June, bringing their dancefloor-ready sound to a label they’ve long admired.
“Releasing on Hottrax is a huge milestone in our music career, and it’s a massive honour being welcomed onto a label we admire so much. Jamie has been a big inspiration to us from the start, and we’ve been sending him music for years, hoping for this moment. Hottrax has always been a go-to label for our sets, and we’ve played tunes from its catalogue at almost every gig we’ve done, so to now be part of that legacy is surreal. Title track ‘Erase It’ unfolds through rich, undulating grooves and sub-shaking basslines, layered with crisp tech beats and rolling, low-ends. Next, ‘Feel 4 U ’leans into a darker rhythm with echoing textures that shimmer through, showcasing FIRZA’s knack for groove-powered direction. Closing out the EP, ‘Closer’ centres on percussive-driven beats, where wobbbling sonics and thumping patterns define the track’s vibrant energy and dynamic vibe.
