I. JORDAN has announced a new five-track EP, ‘Free Falling’, on Ninja Tune.To coincide with the announcement, the London-based, Doncaster-born DJ and producer has released a new single, ‘Without You’, featuring singer-songwriter ASHWARYA.
A heady blend of luscious synth melodies, snappy house rhythms and a splash of of garage, ‘Without You’ was first conceived at 4 AM after a gig in Paris. After a few recording sessions with ASHWARYA, the ode to unexpected connections was complete.
It’s a theme that’s echoed across the EP. As Jordan explained: “I’ve accidentally ended up with an EP full of love songs. And I’m not mad about it!”
The new EP will also feature an instrumental version of their recent single ‘An Angel’ featuring Tom Rasmussen, which was previously released alongside ‘Girl Reborn’. The EP’s title track features vocals from Ell Murphy. The release is completed by ‘Thinking About You’ and ‘East Coast Line’, the latter of which was written while JORDAN was on a train from King’s Cross to Doncaster to visit their grandmother.
‘Free Falling’ will be released on 17th October.
