INSOMNIAC AND C3 PRESENTS REVEAL INAUGURAL MIDDLELANDS FESTIVAL LINEUP

Insomniac and C3 Presents, the creators behind Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) and Lollapalooza respectively, have unveiled a chart-topping roster of globally celebrated artists set to perform at the first ever Medieval-themed music and camping festival, Middlelands. Fans attending Middlelands will be catapulted into an adventure for the ages, packed with infectious beats and roaring riffs from some of the world’s top tastemakers, including Alison Wonderland, Bassnectar, Bonobo (Live), Crystal Castles, Danny Brown, Galantis, Jurassic 5, Kaskade, Major Lazer, Marshmello, Phantogram, Rae Sremmurd, and Seven Lions.

The Texas Renaissance Festival Fair Grounds, the largest theme park of its kind in the United States, will welcome Middlelands on May 5-7, 2017, as the elaborate venue hosts a music festival for the first time ever. Featuring five uniquely designed stages true to the Middle Ages theme, along with pre-existing wooded villages, 60 acres of picturesque lush landscapes, and multi-genre performances from an influential blend of world-renowned acts and handpicked local talent, the Middlelands festival will immerse fans in a magical realm of revelry and royalty. Never-before-seen kingdoms, towering castles, and costumed Middlelands performers will bring the festival grounds to life, amidst exhilarating rides and endless imaginative art for fans to explore.

The 2017 Middlelands adventure will offer Lords and Ladies ten unique camping options ranging from regal RV to quiet sanctuary lodging for a four-day experience unlike any other. Campers will band together to form color-coded Kingdoms for a one-of-a-kind Camp-wide Competition, through a series of Middlelands themed games. The duels will take place in Conqueror’s Court at the center of the Middlelands campgrounds each day before the festival begins. Points will be collected for every victory, and the Kingdom with the most wins will be crowned with the prestigious title of: Inaugural Champions of Middlelands.Sound Camps will also be available, bringing the party before, during, and after each day of the festival in the beauty of the vast forest. Fans can apply to be a part of a designated Sound Camp, with each approved group permitted to rent or bring their own large-format sound systems to their assigned camping locations. Due to popular demand, the allotment for Group Camping has been extended so Headliners can build their own intimate communities in the campgrounds.
