Los Angeles, CA – Friday, July 3 – New York-raised powerhouse Jai Wolf collaborates with dance producer Tej and singer-songwriter Avani Satra to release “Throw Ya Body,” a modern bass track that will mark the first single from his next project.
Jai Wolf is a Bangladeshi-American producer whose emotionally resonant sound has made him one of electronic music’s most distinctive voices. Now, he embarks on a new collaborative project, bringing together South Asian artists from across the globe and across genres to create genre-bending club music, melodic house, and indie electronic.
“Throw Ya Body” is a cross-pollinating bass track borrowing elements from an array of club sounds. Satra’s vocals in the single sound both ethereal and robotic, blending smoothly with a mix of moody beats, hypnotic flute melodies, and energetic drops coming from the hefty bass house switchups.
Mumbai-born, San Francisco-based Tej is a bubbling dance producer with a reputation for creating cutting-edge bass tracks infused with hyperpop textures and raw, honest songwriting. He has produced memorable bass collaborations with iconic artists including Z3LLA, Wheresjordxn, and Col3man.
Originally from India, LA-based singer-songwriter and producer Avani Satra is making a splash in indie and alt-pop music with her neo-soul style. Avani has embedded herself in the New York scene with performances at DROM, City Winery, Kobrick Coffee, and Mercury Lounge.
“Throw Ya Body” is the beginning of a new era for Jai Wolf. The acclaimed artist is an RIAA Gold-certified producer with his timeless record “Indian Summer,” amassing 200M+ streams across platforms to date. He has released two studio albums: 2019’s ‘The Cure to Loneliness‘ and his follow-up ‘The Red Eye Home‘ in 2024. Jai is also renowned for his high-profile collabs with BANKS, San Holo, and Aluna, as well as official remixes for Skrillex, Coldplay, The Chainsmokers, ODESZA, and Alesso.
Last week Jai Wolf announced his 10 Year Anniversary Tour. The tour features a retrospective live experience spanning every chapter of his career, from “Indian Summer” to now. The tour begins October 24 in San Francisco and visits eight major US markets – see dates below.
Over the past year’s touring, he explored a wide range of global club sounds from UK Garage to Baile Funk to 140 Bass / Dub as part of his Club Babu Tour, including headline stops at Academy (LA), Elsewhere (NYC), Church (Denver), and CODA (Toronto), plus international stops in China and Bangladesh.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to launch my next era with THROW YA BODY, a collab with rising bass producer Tej and vocalist Avani Satra. The spirit of my next era is to push my personal sonic boundary as far as possible through collaborations and I knew that working with Tej would result in a really unique sounding track that blends bass, future bass vocal chops, and bass house. This one is an absolute weapon in my Club Babu sets and we’re so excited for the world to hear it.” – Jai Wolf
