Metamorfosi Records welcomes its founder back to the imprint as Joseph Capriati unveils ‘Control’, his second collaboration on the label, partnering with GENNARO for the first time. Capriati’s second outing on the label brings an all-Italian affair, linking him with a fellow countryman making his own mark in contemporary house. Hailing from Ischia, GENNARO has seen his reputation for curating sharp, jazz-infused and deeper house explode since his breakout in 2024 with one of the year’s standout records, and has since been making a statement with releases across a wealth of leading imprints from around the globe.
‘Control’ brings their two approaches together on a bubbly, slick club record that blends their wide-reaching sounds, driven by a rolling groove, vibrant sax interludes, and a distinctive lead vocal hook. Loaded with movement, enabling the pair’s ear for character and instinct to lead the way, it’s a record that’s been causing a stir over the summer at Capriati’s Metamorfosi residency in Ibiza, and deservedly so.
