Josh Hvaal delivers ghetto house-inspired heat on Trick with ‘Hustlers Dance’.

From early releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations and Hottrax imprints to launching his own Gibberish imprint—officially premiered by BBC Radio 1’s Pete TongJosh Hvaal has emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting breakthrough artists in modern club music. Drawing heavily on the late-90s Chicago ghetto house lineage, inspired by the likes of Paul Johnson, DJ Deeon, and DJ Assault, Josh reimagines that era’s energy through modern hardware-led production on his Trick debut, ‘Hustlers Dance’.

“Over the last 7 years, Patrick has been an incredible supporter of my music, and I have always looked up to him as an artist and a role model. Over the years, I have spent a lot of time on Trick dance floors across the world and love everything about the brand, label, and the people it brings together. This is something I’ve been working towards for 7 years, so to be able to release this record on Trick is an actual, real-life, dream come true for me.” – Josh Hvaal

Built around punchy 808s, a rolling 303, and a perfectly placed vocal, ‘Hustlers Dance’ is a sure-fire dancefloor weapon that has become a staple in both Josh Hvaal and label boss Patrick Topping’s sets.

Josh Hvaal ‘Hustlers Dance’ drops via Trick on 13th February 2026.
