THE DESMOND ARRAY, a web of hyper intelligent machines, has brought us to new heights of science & innovation. However, the world we know is now shrouded in division, conflict, and strife. One may wonder… where is the PLUR?
We’ve become so deeply reliant on our machines that we can’t tell what’s real and what’s not.
We can’t tell what’s love and what’s electricity, what’s emotion and what’s circuitry.
The machines have helped us achieve so much, but have also stripped us of our humanity.
With logic, reason & pragmatism, they’ve made us give up hope. They’ve convinced us that humans have explored all there is to explore and learned all there is to learn. They highlight our cognitive and emotional limitations and tell us we would be doomed without them. Trapped by fear, limiting beliefs and a hopeless mindset, we’ve turned against each other and lost our PLUR.
A brave crew of VOYAGERS decide to toss caution & reason to the wind. They embark on an adventure beyond the safety of the DESMOND ARRAY to explore the vast unknown of space. Their mission is simple: to re-discover PLUR and study its origins. Unfortunately, it is unclear if PLUR exists in the far reaches of the Multi-verse. However, by transcending their fears and limiting beliefs, perhaps these brave explorers can show humanity back on Earth that we might not be as doomed and as helpless as the machines suggest. Perhaps the bondage imposed on us by these hyper intelligent robots can be undone with courage and optimism. If so, humanity might find PLUR back home regardless of the success of the mission.

In 2021, Justin Jay celebrated 5 years of his label Fantastic Voyage, which has become a welcoming home for artists behind its reputation for putting creative’s visions first. Dreamers and dancers alike can experience a melting pot of styles that span footwork, breaks, happy hardcore and more. Those who have seen Justin recognize his unrelenting ability to break these tracks out in unsuspecting environs, always with a smile on his face and a feeling of open-mindedness in tow.
Launching his music career from his freshman dorm room, the Los Angeles-based Producer/DJ, Justin Jay, has already seen success that extends well beyond his years. Justin has been recognized as a “Future Star” by trusted tastemakers such as Pete Tong, gone on to release with Patrick Topping’s Trick label and even Nicole Moudaber’s techno-savvy MOOD Records. His career accolades have extended to more avant-garde purveyors of rave revival sonics as well, finding releases with the likes of Shall Not Fade and Childsplay.
Fantastic Voyage’s 5 year anniversary has a simple mission – get out of the artists’ way and let them create what feels most authentic to them.
