Oregon’s rising producer releases his sophomore single on Insomniac’s Discovery Project label, a soulful yet seismic deep dubstep track emulating the feeling of crashing out.

A masterclass in emotional friction, “CRASH” touches on moments when the entire world starts to feel too heavy on the shoulders. This left-field bass track eases in with a
cinematic lo-fi introduction, teetering between lush neo-soul and hip-hop. High-pitched vocals and velvety falsetto create a false sense of security, with smooth Rhodes piano keys and wailing guitar riffs emulating the highs of life and love. As soon as the mood starts to settle, the tone is flipped on its head via guttural experimental dubstep sequences, plunging into a raw, heavy-hitting bass groove reminiscent of spiraling out.
This single arrives after his previous debut on the label “Awee,” which was hand-selected by guest judge AC Slater as part of the Beyond Wonderland edition of the longstanding Discovery Project DJ / producer competition.
“This release is extra special because it’s my second track dropping with Insomniac’s Discovery Project label,” says Kaiyo. “After winning the 2025 Discovery Project for Beyond Wonderland SoCal, they’ve been nothing but supportive in helping me bring my sound to life. ‘CRASH’ feels like the next chapter in that journey, and I’m hyped to keep building with them. Discovery Project truly does feel like a family, and I couldn’t imagine where I’d be without their continued support.”
Carving out his own lane in the dance music space, Kaiyo is a budding producer bringing an atmospheric edge to bass music. His signature style is tied to immersive soundscapes that tickle the brain and body in equal proportions. With dynamic low-end productions aplenty, he’s earned the attention of industry heavyweights,
personally invited by What So Not to open on his ‘motions’ Tour, in addition to sharing the stage with artists from the likes of Ghengar, A Hundred Drums. Most recently, he’s been roped in to provide live support for Know Good on their US Tour.
Kaiyo builds on his rising momentum with “CRASH,” a striking fusion of technical finesse and rawness that showcases an exciting dimension of the ever-changing dubstep scene.
AG’s new single “CRASH” is available on all platforms via Discovery Project.
